TO HONOR THE LIFE OF GAVIN D. LUX
The Gavin D. Lux Memorial Fund was founded in 2019 by his family after they lost their son/brother, Gavin, to suicide at the young age of 25. In their grief, Gavin’s family learned the unacceptable statistics surrounding suicide in the young adult population and decided to turn their grief into action so that other families would never have to experience such profound loss.
Gavin loved sports. He played everything from hockey to soccer, to basketball, to baseball, but it wasn’t until high school that he found his true love—golf. Gavin was an avid golfer, playing for both Westlake High School and Elmhurst College. He followed his love of golf working summers at Sweetbriar Golf & Pro Shop in Avon Lake, OH and playing every spare moment he could find.
Gavin was a friend to so many, and we all miss him more than words can say. While he may be gone, his memory will live on in our hearts forever.
